Louisiana and Kokomo Disaster Relief
August 2016 brought severe flooding to Louisiana and Mississippi. 13 people died. 40,000 homes were damaged. Millions of dollars were lost due to agricultural damages. On Labor Day weekend each year, the small town of North Salem hosts the North Salem Old Fashion Days. The northwest Hendricks County town celebrates traditions old and new during the 41st annual three day event.
