Hendricks County Recycling District offers Tox-Away Days throughout the year. During these events, Hendricks County households can properly dispose of household hazardous waste (HHW).
This type of waste tends to be containers of household chemicals that are partially used. If the container is empty, it is safe to dispose of it in the normal trash. Caution words like “warning”, “toxic”, and “flammable” are all good indicators that an item should be disposed of as HHW.
