Can you believe that McCloud Nature Park has been around for sixteen years? Join in the “sweet sixteen” birthday celebrations at the park on Saturday, May 4th and Sunday, May 5th, 2019.
There will be self-guided activities and a birthday card that you can sign for McCloud. Everyone is invited to share some of their favorite moments at the park on Facebook by tagging #McCloudBirthday.
McCloud Nature Park is located at 8518 Hughes Road in North Salem. Park hours are dawn to dusk daily. The park is 232 acres, with more than six miles of hiking trails and access to Big Walnut Creek. There are a variety of wildlife viewing opportunities in the park.
If you haven’t been to the park in awhile or this is your first visit, be sure to check out the restored iron truss bridge. It’s over 100 years old! The park offers weekly nature programs and interactive exhibits in the McCloud Nature Center. There is also a bird-viewing room and resource library.
