Filling our community needs
In Central Indiana, approximately 20% of children live in households that can’t always afford food, according to a recent Indianapolis Star article.
Preliminary weather reports show that we’re in for another long cold winter in Indiana, and with the holidays approaching, is there a better time to start thinking of those who are in need?
Consider donating food or funds to local food pantries to assist them in their good works this winter. Several local events are collecting non-perishable food items through mini food drives hosted in conjunction with fun holiday events.
Several Brownsburg churches offer food pantries and/or assistance for those in need. Since this winter will naturally increase demand, they may be seeking volunteers.
