McCloud Nature Park offers summer nature day camps for kids ages 2-12. All of the day camps focus on a weekly topic and include hands-on activities, games, crafts, and more. These camps are provided by Hendricks County Parks & Recreation naturalists.
You’ll definitely need to register in advance for these summer nature day camps, as on-site registration is not available and many of the camps fill up very quickly.
Lil’ Explorers
Children ages 2-5 (and older siblings ages 6-7) can attend summer nature day camps with a parent/guardian. These programs are held on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00-3:00 p.m. Activities are identical for morning and afternoon sessions. The registration fee is $12 per camper (includes camper and parent/guardian).
Young Adventurers
For ages 6-12 (going into grades 1-7), there are different activities each day around the same topic, so participants can register for one or both activities. These are drop-off programs held on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00-3:00 p.m. The registration fee is $15 per camper.
