Looking for fun and educational activities this summer? Check out the nature day camps at McCloud Nature Park!
Each camp is taught by Hendricks County Parks & Recreation naturalists who have experience teaching campers of all ages. Advanced registration is required for all camps. Registration is open and many events fill quickly.
Each camp focuses on a topic and includes hands-on activities, crafts, games, and more. There are camps for two different age groups: Lil’ Explorers and Young Adventurers.
Lil’ Explorers
Children ages 2-5 (and older siblings ages 6-7) can register and attend summer nature day camps with age-appropriate nature activities. Parent/guardian must attend with child. These programs are held on Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00-3:00 p.m. Activities are identical for morning and afternoon sessions. The registration fee is $12 per camper (includes camper and parent/guardian).
Young Adventurers
For ages 6-12 (going into grades 1-7), there are different activities each day around the same topic, so participants can register for one or both activities. These are drop-off programs held on Thursdays from 10:00 a.m. to noon or 1:00-3:00 p.m. The registration fee is $15 per camper.
