The Parks Foundation of Hendricks County and local park departments have teamed up for the 2019 Summer Fun Run Series. Whether you’re a runner, walker, or just getting started, this weekly event will keep you exploring Hendricks County all summer long!
It is free to participate in all of the summer fun run events, which are held in different locations around the county each week on Wednesdays from 4:00-7:00 p.m. from May 29th to August 21st, 2019. Check-in hours have been extended this year.
The summer fun run series is free to participate in, but online registration is required. Register online, then check in at each week’s event. Participants who attend at least nine of the twelve events will have their name listed on the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County’s website and printed on the 2020 Summer Fun Run Series shirts.
The Kick-Off Expo and Pasta Dinner will be held at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds in Danville on May 29th. Register by May 15th and pick up your shirt at the event. (Shirts will also be available for purchase at the Expo as supplies last.) Those in attendance will learn about local parks and sponsors while enjoying a free pasta dinner for the first 500 people in attendance. Start your summer fun run series by running or walking a one mile path around the fairgrounds.
Each park will have a one mile course for runners and walkers, as well as an additional course that will be determined by the park host. Simply arrive between 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the designated location and check in.
