Summer activities look a little different this year, but you can still have a great summer camp experience right here in Hendricks County. McCloud Nature Park is offering day programs for Lil’ Explorers (ages 2-5), Young Adventurers (ages 6-12), and a family program that is recommended for ages 5 and older.
You must register in advance for these events. Class size is limited to 10 campers and 2 staff members. Activities will be outdoors except in the case of severe weather. Registration fee ranges from $3-$25/participant, depending on the program.
Lil’ Explorers Day Camp: Mammals
Kids ages 2-5 (accompanied by an adult) can learn all about different Indiana mammals on June 30th at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Older siblings, ages 6-7, may also register and participate. The cost is $12 per child, and the fee covers both child and accompanying adult. This is not a drop-off program.
Young Adventurers Day Camp: Mammals
On July 2nd from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., kids ages 6-12 can learn about Indiana mammals in a drop-off day camp program.
Lil’ Explorers Day Camp: Birds
Choose from the 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. activity time on July 14th to learn about birds at McCloud Nature Park. Enjoy age-appropriate nature activities.
Young Adventurers Day Camp: Birds
Learn all about how birds can fly and more at this day camp from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on July 16th or 17th. There are different activities on both days.
Lil’ Explorers Day Camp: Go with the Flow!
The main stem of Big Walnut Creek is approximately 19 miles long. Go with the flow and explore the creek during day camp on July 21st at 10:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. Bring a change of clothes, you will get wet!
Family Day Camp: Go with the Flow!
Join park naturalists with your family to explore Big Walnut Creek in this fun program on July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
Young Adventurers Day Camp: Go with the Flow!
There are two Big Walnut Creek activity days for Young Adventurers, with program activities varying by day. Choose from July 23rd or 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
