Brownsburg Community School Corporation students will be on Spring Break from March 25th-April 5th, 2019. During that time, there are some special programs offered for school age children. We’re rounding up some highlights in this blog post.
March 28th Movie: Disney’s Ralph Breaks the Internet
This movie brings back characters from the 2012 movie Wreck-It Ralph in a zany adventure. The movie run time is 1 hour and 52 minutes, and it is rated PG. Feel free to bring snacks and blankets to watch the movie at Brownsburg Public Library!
March 28th or April 4th: Spring Break Day Camp: Trackers & Trappers
Ever wonder what life was like on the frontier? Park naturalists will teach exciting frontier skills like animal tracking, pelt identification, and crafting in this spring break day camp. The program is recommended for ages 8-12 (grades 3-7) and costs $25 per person. This day camp is held at McCloud Nature Park. Advance registration required.
March 28th Movie: Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
This movie follows Newt Scamander’s adventures. The movie run time is 2 hours and 14 minutes, and it is rated PG-13. Brownsburg Public Library will provide popcorn and beverages.
March 30th: Hiking Sticks Workshop
Decorate your own hiking stick at this workshop at McCloud Nature Park. There are two session times available: 10 a.m. or 1:00 p.m. The program fee is $5/person and advance registration is required. Recommended for ages 10 and older.
April 3rd Movie: Wonder
This movie is the heart-warming story of August Pullman, a 5th grade boy with a facial deformity who is attending school for the first time. The movie run time is 1 hour and 53 minutes, and it is rated PG.
April 4th: Drop-in Game Day
Brownsburg Public Library is hosting a drop-in game day for kids ages 6-10. No registration required. Bring a friend or meet some new ones! There will be board games and card games for all skill levels.
April 5th: Zumba® Kids Day Off Dance Party
Kids ages 6-10 are invited to a dance party at Brownsburg Public Library. Registration and a signed liability waiver are required, and caregivers are asked to remain in the library during the program.
April 6th: Bug Terrariums
Create a bug terrarium to house insect pets. McCloud Nature Park will provide all materials (minus the bug) to design your own bug terrarium, and park naturalists will be available to answer questions about insects. Recommended for ages 6 and up. Program fee is $10, and advance registration is required.
