Looking for a fun indoor activity? Pecar Park regularly offers pottery classes for children and adults at Pecar Nature Center. No experience is needed!
In this article, we’ll highlight upcoming pottery classes by age group. If you’re interested in creating a special gift for someone, be sure to plan ahead. All of the clay items are fired and delivered about 3-4 weeks after class, or at the next class.
Preschool Pottery
These classes are for preschools (3-5 years old). Children get to mold, glaze, and design their own creations. Parents are required to stay with their children during this class. The cost is $12 per child per class.
Ornaments
Create ornaments on November 9th, 2021 from 1:00-1:45 p.m.
Snow People
Build snow people on December 14th, 2021 from 1:00-1:45 p.m.
Pottery for Kids
Pottery classes for kids ages 6-12 are $20 per class. If your child might have difficulty using tools, you can stay to help.
Ornaments and Trees
This class will take place on November 9th, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
Angels and Snowflake Bowl
This class is on December 14th, 2021 from 4:00-5:30 p.m.
Homeschool STEM and Art Classes
Create two projects to take home and enjoy in these classes for ages 5-15. The cost is $15 per child or $30 per family of four.
Motorized Robots and Recycled Records
Learn about design, recycling, and more on November 9th, 2021 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Clay Bell Mobile and Cardboard City
Create a mobile and a cardboard city on December 14th, 2021 from 2:30-3:30 p.m.
Adult Pottery Classes
Adult pottery classes are $27 per person.
Ornaments and Trees
This class will take place on November 9th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Angels and Snowflake Bowl
Make these items on December 14th, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
