If you’re feeling a little cabin fever, getting outside might be just the ticket. There are beautiful trails and walking paths all over Hendricks County, so you can bundle up and take a hike or walk just about anywhere.
But if you’re looking for an organized event, check out these two great options for starting off the new year outside!
First Saturday Hike
On Saturday, January 2nd, 2021, join a First Saturday Hike at McCloud Nature Park in North Salem. There will be two hikes offered: one easy, and one moderate-to-difficult. Both will begin at 2:00 p.m. and take about two hours to complete.
This program is free to attend and appropriate for all ages. You don’t need to register in advance to participate. Be sure to dress for the weather.
Resolution XC 5K
On January 1, 2021, the Resolution XC 5K will take place at Washington Township Community Park in Avon at 10:00 a.m. Registration is $25 per person plus a $2.45 sign up fee.
