Did you know that just a few minutes drive from Brownsburg you can transport yourself back to a classic time in American history?
Celebrate Mayberry in the Midwest on May 17th and 18th, 2014. Nationally known Tribute Artists will perform together on stage and Rodney and the Dillard Band will perform a concert on Saturday evening.
Those attending the festival will have the opportunity to meet actress Maggie Peterson (played Charlene Darling on The Andy Griffith Show) as well as Rodney Dillard, one of the Darling Boys. Dillard will speak about “Mayberry Values in Today’s World” at the West Bridge Church on Sunday morning; all are invited to attend.
The local fire station, located two blocks west of Courthouse Square, will hold a pancake breakfast from 7-9 a.m. on Saturday. Then the Courthouse Square will be full of old-fashioned Mayberry style fun all weekend. Arts and crafts vendors will open their booths beginning at 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The Mayberry Parade will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning to present the Tribute Artists. A variety of performances and Mayberry-themed contests will take place on the stage throughout the weekend.
In addition, a limited seating Meet & Greet VIP dinner will be held with the Tribute Artists and other honored guests at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 16th at the Twin Bridges Golf Club. Click here to purchase tickets.
