Let’s Think Spring Plans in Brownsburg! {Part 1}

February 3, 2014 By Tony Reffeitt

Do you feel like we have already had a full winter?

Brownsburg has already received much more snow than we ever get in a normal school year, and more is predicted to come in tomorrow.  Compound that with the record cold temperatures we have had and you begin to think spring will never arrive around here.

However, you and I both know that warm air is on it’s way, and won’t be far off.  I thought it would be fun to think about some spring activities to warm your spirits.  After all, many of these projects require planning, so why not get started?

Brownsburg Spring Activites

1. Buying or Selling a Home in Brownsburg
Everyone knows that spring is the most active time of the year for buying and selling real estate.  Are you considering listing your home this spring?  Consider all of the projects you are going to need to tackle to get your home and finances ready.  Get a head start on them now so that you are ready when that first warmer day hits.  Get your home listed early so that you have a buyer lined up when your dream home comes on the market.

Some of these projects might include:

  • Painting your home (interior/Exterior)
  • Lawn & Landscaping
  • Replacing or cleaning your carpet
  • Fixing things that are broken in your home
  • Talking to someone about mortgage finances
  • Checking your credit score
  • Finding a Realtor
  • Start searching for a home now to figure out what you like

Having a realtor come assess the market value of your home and help you with this to-do list can be very helpful.  Our sponsor, Brownsburg realtor Tony Reffeitt, is always available to help you.

2. Planning a Spring Break
Nothing warms the spirit like planning a spring break vacation with your family.  Ready to get out of Brownsburg and get a head start on warm weather?  Start looking at those hotel and resort websites and plan your vacation.  You know rooms and flights are booking up fast!

Have you ever used Kayak?  I love this website as it has really helped my family find the best deals on flights, hotels, and car rentals.  Kayak actually compares rates from all of the discount sites like Travelocity, Orbitz, Priceline, Expedia and many others.  Check Kayak out…

What other things are you looking forward to this spring?

Stay tuned, we have a couple more ideas to warm your thoughts while we wait for spring.  That post will be later this week.
