Do you want to learn how to scuba dive before your next vacation? Is your child ready to start learning about water safety? Brownsburg Parks offers a variety of swimming lessons. In this blog post, we’ll take a quick look at what’s scheduled for this spring and summer. Learn to Swim
This swimming course follows the American Red Cross curriculum and focuses on both recreational and competitive swim strokes as well as basic water safety. Learn to Swim is for ages 4-12 and helps each child build swimming skills at their own pace. The cost is $55.
Spring Session 2 takes place from April 2-12, Mondays-Thursdays at 5:30-6:15 p.m. or 6:30-7:15 p.m. Spring Session 3 will be held from April 16-26 at the same times.
Summer Session 1 will be on Mondays-Thursdays from June 4-14 at 6:30-7:15 p.m. or 7:30-8:15 p.m. Summer Session 2 will follow on Mondays-Thursday from June 18-28 at the same times.
Children ages 3-5 are invited to learn beginning aquatic skills in this American Red Cross program that allows them to experience the pool without parental assistance. The cost is $45.
Spring Session will be from April 7-June 2 with no class on May 26. The class will meet on Saturdays from 10:30-11 a.m.
Summer Session 1 will take place from June 4-14 from 5:30-6 p.m. Mondays-Thursdays. Summer Session 2 will follow from June 18-28 at the same time.
Parent & Child Aquatics
This program is geared toward children ages 6 months to 3 years to prepare them for the American Red Cross Preschool Aquatics Course. A parent or guardian must attend the class and accompany the child into the water. The parent/guardian will help the child explore basic swimming skills such as entering the water, blowing bubbles, front kicking, and back floating. The cost is $45.
Spring Session will take place from April 7-June 2 with no class on May 26. The class will meet on Saturdays from 10-10:30 a.m.

Bottoms Up Scuba is offering a PADI Open Water Diver course in Brownsburg on March 31 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The course is open to ages 10 and up; cost is $199. Register and find more information at www.bottomsupscubaindy.com.
