Some of our favorite holiday traditions, like the Christmas Under the Stars Parade, are paused this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, there are still many ways to celebrate the holiday season safely in Hendricks County.
Winterland Light Show
The Greater Danville Chamber of Commerce and The Danville Parks Department have partnered to create a drive-through Christmas light display in Ellis Park.
The light display is open daily until December 27th, 2020. It is closed on Christmas Day. See hours and admission information.
Buddy the Elf
See Buddy the Elf at Washington Township Park in Avon on December 19th, 2020. Enjoy breakfast, games, crafts, music, and carriage rides. Sign up for a specific time slot when registering. Masks are required.
Wintertime Wander
Enjoy a self-guided walk on a trail lit by luminaries at Pecar Park on December 19th, 2020. Warm up near the community firepit and enjoy smores. At the nature center, you can make a nature lantern, visit the animals, and get your photo taken at a photo booth.
Santa Calling!
You can visit with Santa virtually and take a photo on December 12th or 19th.
Many neighborhoods have excellent outdoor holiday light displays. What are your favorite ways to enjoy holiday fun in Hendricks County?
