National Night Out is an annual community-building event designed to promote police-community partnerships as well as neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safe and more caring places to live. Millions of Americans take park in this event across thousands of communities worldwide on the first Tuesday in August.
This year the event will take place on Tuesday, August 7th in various locations, including celebrations in Hendricks County. This event is always free to attend (this includes parking, food, activities, entertainment, and more!) and community members are encouraged to participate.
Brownsburg Police Department Night Out Against Crime
The Brownsburg Police Department will host the annual Night Out Against Crime on the Brownsburg Town Hall Green. This event will feature live music, free food, Blood Mobile, bounce houses/inflatables, free document shredding, the Pacer’s Fan Van, and more.
Danville Metropolitan Police Department Night Out Against Crime
The Danville Metropolitan Police Department is hosting a Night Out Against Crime event from 5-8:30 p.m. on Danville’s Historic Courthouse Square. Enjoy games, contests, food, and lots more!
Avon Police Department Night Out Against Crime
Last year, more than 4,000 people gathered for National Night Out in Avon. The event includes free food, free gun locks, a dunk booth, displays of police and Avon Fire Department equipment, more than 75 area businesses/vendors, K9 demonstrations, bounce houses, free door prizes, face painting, and more.
