Hendricks County Parks & Recreation is teaming up with Washington Township Parks & Recreation to offer movies in the parks this summer.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair to watch the movies at the Bluegill Shelter at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park at 4521 Gibbs Road in Danville, Indiana. You’ll want a swimsuit and towel for the movies at the brand new Murphy Aquatic Park in Avon, where you can enjoy the movie from the comfort of the wave pool.
Here’s the lineup!
June 17: Clifford the Big Red Dog
The summer movies at the park kicks off on Friday, June 17, 2022 with a showing of Clifford the Big Red Dog at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park. This free event is sponsored by Katie’s Professional Dog Grooming. No advance registration is needed. Activities will begin at 6:30 p.m. followed by the movie at 8:30. The movie is rated PG.
June 23: Moana
Register in advance to watch Moana on a movie screen above the wave pool at Murphy Aquatic Park. The pool will open at 7:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk. The total cost per person is $14 ($8 for pool entrance and $6 for the movie). Kids 2 and under are free. The concession stand will be open with snacks to purchase. Moana is rated PG.
July 8: Grown-Ups
Register in advance to watch Grown-Ups on a movie screen above the wave pool at Murphy Aquatic Park. The pool will open at 7:00 p.m. and the movie will begin at dusk.
