Easter is just around the corner, and Hendricks County is ready to observe it the holiday in style! From special church services to an Easter egg hunt designed specifically for children with special needs, there are plenty of opportunities for kids and adults alike to celebrate.
Easter Egg Hunts
Brownsburg Parks & Recreation and the Brownsburg Lions Club are hosting a free Easter egg hunt at Arbuckle Acres Park on Saturday, March 19th. This event is open to children ages 0-12. Free photos with the Easter Bunny begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by the egg hunt at 11 a.m.- A free sensory Easter egg hunt will be held on Saturday, March 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Washington Township Park Pavilion Center in Avon. This event allows children the opportunity to search for Easter eggs in a quieter and less chaotic setting. Each age group will have a different start time, with groups of 5 kids hunting at a time. Each child will find 20 eggs.
- Plainfield Parks & Recreation is offering a twist on the traditional Easter egg hunt with an underwater egg hunt on Saturday, March 26th. Photos with the Easter Bunny will take place from 10 a.m. to noon with the underwater Easter egg hunt beginning at 11 a.m.
- Children ages 2-9 can hunt for candy filled eggs in Danville on March 26th at 2 p.m. Children will be split into three age groups: 2-3, 4-6, and 7-9. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Some extra special eggs will include prize tickets.
