Summer has officially arrived, and with it, fireworks and fun for everyone! In this post we’re rounding up four popular 4th of July events in Hendricks County.
Brownsburg Lions Club 4th of July Extravaganza
Enjoy six days of summer fun during the annual 4th of July Extravaganza in Brownsburg! This event features the famous Lions Club corn on the cob and other delicious food as well as carnival rides, games, and more. The annual 4th of July Parade attracts more than 10,000 folks to Brownsburg and has been organized by the Brownsburg Lions Club since 1966. The parade route begins at Williams Park, then goes to Locust, Tilden, and finishes at O’Dell. For more information about the parade or other events, click here. There is a popular fireworks display at dusk on July 4th. This event takes place from July 2-7th from 6 p.m. to close.
Run 4 Freedom
Want to kick off your Independence Day celebrations with a new PR? The 4th annual Run 4 Freedom is a four or one mile chip-timed run at Avon Town Hall Park on July 4th. You can get more details or register here.
Family 4th Fest
Enjoy fun activities and a free fireworks show at Danville Community High School on July 4th, presented by the Greater Danville Chamber of Commerce, WestBridge Church, and the Town of Danville.
Hendricks Symphony Presents Festival on the 4th
The Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus will perform patriotic favorites as well as some popular movie scores along with a fireworks display at Hummel Park in Plainfield on July 4th. Bring lawn chairs and your favorite picnic foods to enjoy with family and friends at this free community event.
