Learn how amphibians survive beneath pond ice and how various animals use cold-weather burrows to stay warm. Wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. Appropriate for all ages, registration not required.  

Learn about atlatls at McCloud Nature Park and make your own atlatl with a blunt tipped spear. This event is recommended for ages 12 and up; cost is $25 per project, up to two people per project. Register here.

Strength training class for women of all ages and abilities, designed to improve muscular strength, function, and definition with use of light dumbbells and barbells. No prior weight training experience is required, and participants are encouraged to bring a towel and stability ball to be used in various exercises. This class requires a fitness pass.
