Project Lifesaver 5K and 1 Mile Family Run/Walk

Project Lifesaver of Hendricks County is designed to help individuals who have a tendency to wander away from caregivers stay safe. Individuals with cognitive disorders such as dementia, Down Syndrome, and Alzheimer’s can end up in dangerous situations without proper care. Project Lifesaver provides these individuals with a small radio transmitter that is worn on the wrist or ankle; a unique frequency is given to each client. Highly trained emergency responders can then track them if needed. Hendricks Regional Health is presenting the Project Lifesaver 5K and 1 Mile Family Run/Walk at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds; participating in the race includes free parking as well as admission to the fair on race day.
