The 21st Annual B&O Bicycle Tour winds its way through Hendricks County, Indiana, crossing the future B&O Trail several times. You can choose from 10 -, 25-, 45-, or 62-mile loops. The 10 mile route stays in town and rides along the paved section of the B&O Trail. The longer routes feature some hills and the 62 mile route circles around scenic Heritage Lake. After the ride, stick around for a BBQ lunch and live music by Just Us, featuring Mike Whitlock and Barbara Ellen, all included at no extra charge. Kids under 7 ride free. To make the ride family-friendly, there will be a refreshment stop on all routes, even the 10-mile route. Each stop will feature homemade cookies, treats, and fruit, as well as plenty of water and port-o-lets. SAG vehicles will be roving the routes to assist with minor mechanical problems or fatigue. A-1 Cyclery will be on hand at Williams Park to answer questions and assist riders with pre-ride inspections. The first 500 registrants will receive a free souvenir water bottle donated by Circle City Bicycles.
Sign-in begins at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013.
The 45- and 62-mile riders will depart at 8:30;
the 25-mile riders at 8:50;
the 10-mile riders at 9:10.
Lunch is served by Charbonos Catering from 10:30 to 2:30, but extra food will be held at the park for riders returning later than 2:30.
