Did you know that the Brownsburg Street Department offers free curbside Christmas tree pickup for town residents?
This is a great way to dispose of natural Christmas trees. Trees are picked up in neighborhoods every other week throughout the month of January on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday and Friday are make-up days in the case of inclement weather or other delays.
Here is the schedule:
Weeks of January 9th and 23rd:
Monday: Hollaway Pointe, Hollaway Ridge, Hollaway Corner, Northridge, Fountains of Northridge, Arbors of Northridge, Northridge Estates, and Mardale Estates, Arbor Springs, Summer Ridge and Autumn Glen
Tuesday: Windridge Landing, Oaks of Windridge, Winding Creek, Green Street Village, Whittington Estates, Lake Ridge and Hession Fields
Wednesday: Murphy Meadows and Austin Meadows
Weeks of January 3rd, 17th, and 30th
Monday: Willow Springs, Sunny Knoll, Hartford Park, The Hideaway, Holiday Lane, Prairie Village, Chadwick Square, Cedar Run, Cedar Run Lakes and Sugar Bush Farms
Tuesday: Hunters Cove, Thornburg, Bersot Crossing, Fox Chase and Heritage Hills
Wednesday: Ashwood, Hornaday Heights, Ironwood Estates, Brownswood, Country Walk, Fairfield Heights, Meadowchase, Lincoln Pointe, Beacon Pointe, Holiday Pines, Creekside Commons, Wynne Farms and Maple Grove.
Due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on January 16th, the routes that week will begin on Tuesday rahter than Monday. There is no need to call and schedule pickup, but your tree should be along the curb by 7 a.m. on your scheduled neighborhood pickup day.
Residents are also invited to drop off natural and undecorated Christmas trees at the Hendricks County Solid Waste Management District yard waste recycling center free of charge through January 23rd. Trees may be dropped off at any time prior to January 23rd at the facility which is located at 90 Mardale Drive in Brownsburg.
