Celebrate Christmas at Scamahorn Park in Pittsboro on Sunday, December 11th from 3-7 p.m.
Kids will love the opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. They’ll also enjoy refreshments, games, crafts, and more.
Carolers will provide live music to get everyone in the holiday spirit as the Christmas tree in the park is lit for the first time this season. The Bear Hugs Giving Foundation, a local non-profit organization, will be collecting new (unwrapped but still packaged) toys to make Christmas merrier for the children of Pittsboro.
Local vendors will be on hand to help you find gifts for everyone on your list this year. Items include handturned wooden bowls, cashmere scarves, cozy handmade quilts, homemade soaps, children’s puzzle, handbags, wallets, handcrafted wooden pens, jewelry, and more. Local honey and treats will be available from My Hunny’s Honey. Thirty One and LuLaRoe consultants will showcase the latest trends.
“We are looking forward to making this annual event bigger and bigger each year. Celebrations like this make living in a small town even more special. We are getting participation from our local merchants, town officials, sororities, civic organizations, and churches,” said Sherri Haas, one of the event’s organizers.
This annual holiday event promises to be fun for the whole family!
