Brownsburg Public Library’s summer reading program will be completely virtual this year. You can sign up to participate with Beanstack.
Beanstack is an online tracker that allows you to track your reading goals. You can set your own goal and log in each week to track your reading activity. Each time you meet your reading goal, you will be awarded an activity badge. Participate in the challenges to earn weekly badges.
If you are unable to track your reading online for any reason, call or email the library and they will track it on your behalf.
The theme for this year’s program is “Imagine Your Story.” A few Fairy Tale Challenge activities include completing a scavenger hunt while on a nature walk, baking bread like the Little Red Hen, and growing a beanstalk like Jack!
Each participant receives a coloring sheet for signing up. Get creative and share your completed coloring page on social media or by displaying it on your window.
Prizes such as stickers and bookmarks are available. There are prize levels for ages 0-5, 0-11, and 11-19. There will also be a raffle for prizes at the end of the program in mid-July. You will be entered into the raffle as long as you participate in the program.
There will be a variety of virtual events for summer reading, including Hedgehog Hannah, Pretty Funny Balloons, and a magic show.
The local school with the highest percentage of participants wins, so be sure to include school information when signing up!
