Snow removal is a tough job, but you can make it faster and easier by following a few simple tips recently shared by Town of Brownsburg’s Street Department.
- Try to avoid parking vehicles on the street prior to snow removal. This makes it easier for plows to remove as much snow from the roads as possible.
- Wait to clear your driveway until the street has been plowed. This will prevent you from having to remove snow from your driveway again after the street is plowed.
- Do not pile snow from your driveway or walkways in the street. This creates more work for everyone.
Brownsburg’s snow removal policy is for plowing to begin with 2 inches of snowfall. Busier streets are prioritized in order to help everyone continue their daily routines with as little interruption as possible. The Street Department attempts to clear each street entirely before moving to the next street.
If a snow plow mishap causes your yard or mailbox to be damaged this winter, contact the Street Department about making repairs. Call Street Department at 852-1113 if you have any concerns or use the Town’s Action Center to make an inquiry.
