Spring is in full swing, and so are improvements to local roads and more. Here are a few quick updates about projects that you may notice around Brownsburg.
Road Closures
Ronald Reagan Parkway and CR 400 are closed to have traffic signals and lighting added. This project will continue through September, so plan to take an alternate route.
Construction will also begin on a tunnel underneath CR 300 for the B&O Trail. This tunnel will make travel easier and safer for both drivers and trail users. The construction will continue until the end of July, weather permitting. This construction will take place on CR 300 between Northfield Drive and CR 900.
Other Projects
Sanitary sewer root treatment will begin at the end of April in the following areas: Dover Road, Joan Avenue, Moore Drive, Hamden Drive, Mariana Court, Roberta Court, Picadilly Court, and W. William Drive. Expect additional noise and traffic in these areas while work is underway.
All Town of Brownsburg catch basins that hold water for an extended period of time will be treated for mosquito control from now through October. The basins are treated every other week. Swales, ditches, and other problem areas are also treated. Chemicals used are safe for animals. If you have questions, contact the Street Department at (317) 852-1113 or contact the Town’s Action Center. This effort is for everyone’s safety to slow the threat of West Nile virus.
