The Brownsburg Police Department will be hosting the annual National Night Out Against Crime event on Tuesday, August 5th on the Town Hall Green from 5-9 p.m. All are invited to attend this free family event.
Have Fun at Brownsburg Town Hall Green
This community wide event is designed to raise crime and drug prevention awareness while strengthening neighborhood and town spirit. There will be free food, live music, a Pacers Fan Van, a photo booth, and plenty of fun activities for the kids.
Take Care of Business
The Brownsburg Police Department will provide free document shredding for sensitive paperwork as well as a prescription drop off in conjunction with the Hendricks County Substance Abuse Task Force. Event attendees are encouraged to bring outdated or unused prescription and over the counter medications to be disposed of properly; personal information should be removed from labels but drug description and strength should remain. Sharps cannot be accepted.
Keep the Kids Safe
The K-ID’s BMV program will offer free child identification cards, which are used as a tool for authorities to help them better respond to reports of missing or kidnapped children. Brownsburg Lowes will distribute free child DNA kits while supplies last.
Give Back
New or gently used coats for children and adults can be donated at a receptacle at the Night Out Against Crime or in the lobby of the Brownsburg Police Department. The Indiana Blood Center will be on hand for those who wish to save lives by donating blood at the event.
