COVID-19 March News and Events for Brownsburg

The stay-at-home order currently in place throughout the state of Indiana has resulted in some major changes. Many restaurants are still open for carry out orders. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening in Brownsburg as a result.

Town of Brownsburg

Town offices will be closed to the public until April 6th. The only meetings that will be held during this time are those that are essential to ensure that the Town can continue to provide services. The Town is not closed; essential services will still be provided. If you need a response to an issue from Town staff, please use the Action Center to communicate. The Town will waive late utility fees and will not disconnect utility services due to nonpayment until May 17th, 2020.

Brownsburg Community Schools

Brownsburg Community Schools are closed through May 1, 2020. Spring Break will continue through April 10th. At Home Learning will resume on April 13th. The Administration office phones will be monitored Monday-Friday, but the building will be closed to the public. Learn more here.

Brownsburg Public Library

Brownsburg Public Library is closed through Monday, April 6th. Online materials are still available for checkout.

Free Meals for Children in Hendricks County

Avon Community School Corporation is providing food packages with ten breakfast and lunch meals for pickup at the ACSC Administration building from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. These packages are available to all ACSC families and are limited to one per school age student.

Brownsburg Community School Corporation Nutrition Services is offering food to supplement meals for families while schools are closed. Plainfield Community Schools is providing food via truck routes.

Messiah Lutheran Church in Brownsburg is providing food boxes. Call (317) 852-2988 for more information.
