Brownsburg Public Library is an amazing community resource, and it’s turning 100 this year!
Did you know that the library offers programming for all ages, free community resources, classes, and much more in addition to the books and other materials you can borrow as a member? Check out the library website here to learn more.
The library’s actual birthday is September 18th, and there will be a birthday party at the library that is open to the public between 5:30-7:30 p.m. that day. The Indy Ukers (a lively ukulele band) will perform. Cookies and stickers will be available while supplies last and 100 tokens will be hidden in the library. If you find a token, you win a prize! This is an all ages event with no registration required.
The library is also celebrating its centennial with Centennial Gala: 100 Years on the Books on September 29th, 2018. The gala is a formal evening event and tickets must be purchased in advance. The evening will include live music, dancing, dinner, and more. Catering will be provided by Hoosier Roots Catering, Big Daddy Caddy will perform, and Shane Ray will emcee the event. Proceeds from the centennial event will be used to update the library’s preservation equipment.
You can purchase tickets today by visiting the library, calling 317-852-3167 to purchase them over the phone, or buying them online at: tiny.cc/bpl100 (service fees apply).
