The B&O Trail is a former rail line that is being converted to a rail-trail that connects area communities and provides a place for runners, cyclists, and walkers of all ages to get active outdoors. There are several annual events at the trail. Here are three B&O Trail events for spring 2018:
Cache In, Trash Out
Maintaining trails requires constant effort. You can help clean up the B&O Trail by teaming up with a local geocaching group for their Cache In, Trash Out (CITO) event on April 28, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The group has partnered with the Brownsburg Storm Water Department as well as the B&O Trail Association for this event.
Ring Around the County
On Saturday, May 19, 2018 a special event will take place in multiple Hendricks County locations to promote bicycle safety. The B&O Trail Association will be partnering with the Brownsburg Parks Department. The Hendricks County Parks Department as well as the Danville, Avon, and Plainfield Parks Departments will also be participating in this county-wide event. Details coming soon!
26th Annual B&O Bike Tour
The bicycle tour will begin and end at a new venue this year, Lucas Oil Raceway Park. Save the date for Saturday, June 2, 2018!
