There are an abundance of great fall activities for everyone to enjoy in Hendricks County! In this post, we’ll share three local favorites.
Beasley’s Orchard
Located in at 2304 East Main Street in Danville, Beasley’s Orchard offers lots of great fall fun. You can pick your own apples from Friday through Sunday throughout the apple season. The Barnyard Bonanza features a variety of activities, including a giant jumping pillow and a spider web climber. There are hayrides to the you-pick pumpkin patch as well as a corn maze and apple cannons (new this year). Special events include the 31st Annual Heartland Apple Festival (October 7th-8th, 14th-15th), Hometown Heroes (October 21st-22nd), and Dog Daze at the Maze (October 28th-29th).
Hogan Farms Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze
Hogan Farms (8900 E County Road 1000 N in Brownsburg) is open daily from September 23rd-October 29th. Enjoy a large corn maze, hay rides, a pumpkin patch (you pick or purchase previously picked), gourds, and more. Petting zoo featuring ewes, bunnies, ponies, and other animal each weekend during the season.
McCloud Prairie Maze
This year’s prairie maze at McCloud Nature Park features a long-legged heron. Expect to hike at least half a mile. Maps for the maze are available in the kiosk outside of the Nature Center and at the entrance to the maze. Open from dawn to dusk daily from September 2nd-October 31st, 2017. Free for everyone!
