What's in the Name? Did you ever wonder where our town got it's name? Apparently, back in 1824 a man named James B. Brown settled in Brown Township. Our area was apparently all dense forests and the only people living here were a mixture of hunters / trappers along with the Delaware Indians who lived along White Lick Creek.
